The World’s Best Book Awards Readers’ Book the Year is the crowning achievement, awarded annually to one extraordinary book from the Books of Excellence shortlist. This title is determined by a popular vote, empowering readers to celebrate the work that resonates most deeply with them. It represents not only literary excellence but also the voice and admiration of the global reading community.

Award Recognition
Winners of The World’s Best Book Awards receive official recognition as part of The World’s Best Awards program. Recognition may include:

⭐ Announcement through The World’s Best Awards’ editorial and communication channels
⭐ Inclusion in the annual list of award recipients

General Policies
🗒️ Eligibility: All books, regardless of genre, length, or publication date, are eligible for nomination, provided they meet the submission guidelines.
🗒️ Submission Fee: A flat administrative fee of $75 AUD (approximately $50 USD) per book applies for the first category. A reduced fee applies for each additional category nominated for the same book.
Fees do not influence judging, shortlisting, or award outcomes. All fees cover submission handling, review panel administration, and recognition logistics.
For authors or publishers with limited budgets, a standard free nomination form is available. This allows you to submit your book for consideration for an award category consideration without paying the administrative fee. All free submissions are assessed using the same standards as paid entries.
🗒️ Optional Post-Judging Feedback: Authors may request individualised private feedback on their submissions at the time of nomination for an additional fee. Feedback will be delivered three months after the annual results announcement.
- 50-word feedback: Concise summary highlighting key strengths and general areas for improvement — $75 AUD (roughly $50 USD) per book.
- 100-word feedback: More detailed evaluation providing additional insights into writing, structure, and impact — $150 AUD (roughly $100 USD) per book.
All feedback requests are optional and do not influence judging or award outcomes.
🗒️ Decisions Are Final: The decision to shortlist or confer awards determined by The World’s Best Selection Board rests solely with the panel. For awards determined by public voting, such as the The World’s Best Book Awards Readers’ Book of the Year, the results are final and reflect the collective vote of the community. By submitting a nomination, nominators acknowledge and accept that all award outcomes are conclusive and cannot be contested, appealed, or invalidated.
🗒️ Transparency: All nominations are evaluated impartially and with integrity by our independent judging panel. Shortlisted and winning entries may be publicly acknowledged on our website and through official awards communications, including digital badges and annual listings. Winning entries may also receive editorial reviews or features highlighting their achievement. Authors may contact the awards team for general guidance on the judging process. Individualised private feedback is only provided through the optional post-judging feedback service, which must be requested at the time of nomination submission.

Nomination Process
Authors, publishers, and copyright owner representatives may submit their books for consideration. Members of the global literary community may also nominate a book, provided no conflict of interest exists.
Submissions are reviewed by the independent judging panel to determine eligibility for recognition.
