Applicability and Related Policies
The following policies apply to all nominees for awards administered by The World’s Best Awards. These must be read along with all other policies, terms, and conditions related to the awards including the following:

By accepting or lodging their nomination, nominees agree to adhere to these terms and conditions along with the above listed applicable policies, terms, and conditions:
1. Eligibility Criteria
1.1. Nominees must meet the general basic nominee criteria as well as the specific eligibility requirements identified for the award category at the time of nomination.
1.2. Misrepresentation of credentials, achievements, works, or other qualifying details may result in disqualification.
2. Submission and Selection Process
2.1. Nominations must be submitted in accordance with the guidelines and deadlines provided.
2.2. The selection process is conducted either by a panel of judges whose decisions are based on established criteria and their professional discretion, through public voting, or a combination of both, depending on the award category’s specific nature and description.
3. Confidentiality
3.1. The deliberations of the judging panel are confidential and will not be disclosed to nominees or the public.
3.2. Feedback regarding the judging process will not be provided to nominees unless this has been requested and paid for at the time of nomination lodgment. No requests for post-judging feedback will be entertained after the nomination has already been lodged.
3.3. Meanwhile, if public voting is part of the selection process for an award category, it will be done per procedures specified in the awards page. The results are announced or made visible to the public within the timelines also specified.
4. Acceptance of Results
4.1. By accepting or lodging their nomination, nominees acknowledge that the selection process is subjective and based on the judgement of the panel or the voting public audience, as applicable.
4.2. Nominees agree to accept the final decision without objection or dispute, regardless of the outcome.
5. Waiver of Legal Actions
5.1. General Waiver of Claims
Nominees, by participating in the awards, hereby irrevocably agree not to initiate or pursue any legal, administrative, or similar action against the organization, its employees, volunteers, affiliates, partners, sponsors, judges, or associated entities (collectively, “Released Parties”) for any reason arising from or relating to their participation in the awards, including but not limited to decisions regarding eligibility, selection, or non-selection of award winners, or the organization’s handling of any part of the awards process. This includes, but is not limited to, claims for defamation, discrimination, emotional distress, or any other cause of action arising from the nomination, selection process, or failure to win an award.
5.2. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any disputes, disagreements, or claims arising from or related to the nomination, selection, or awards process, nominees agree to first attempt to resolve the matter amicably through informal discussions with the organization. If such informal resolution is not successful, nominees agree to attempt resolution through mediation with a mutually agreed-upon neutral third party before pursuing any legal action. Nominees further agree to bear their own costs for such mediation.
5.3. Indemnification and Hold Harmless
Nominees agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with their participation in the awards, any breach of these terms and conditions, or any claims made by third parties related to their participation. This includes claims arising from any defamatory statements, misrepresentation, or unauthorized use of intellectual property.
5.4. No Liability for External Factors
The organization and the Released Parties are not liable for any failures or delays in performance, including but not limited to interruptions, errors, or delays caused by circumstances beyond their control, such as natural disasters, technical issues, or acts of third parties.
5.5. Acknowledgment of No Guarantee of Winning
Nominees acknowledge and accept that the awards process is competitive, and that participation does not guarantee the receipt of an award. Decisions made by judges and the organization regarding awards are final and binding, and no nominee shall have any recourse for legal or other action based on the outcome.
5.6. Waiver of Emotional Distress Claims
Nominees waive any claims for emotional distress, humiliation, or similar damages that may arise from the nomination or awards process. This waiver applies even if a nominee feels aggrieved by the outcome or any part of the process.
5.7. Force Majeure
The organization shall not be held liable for any inability to perform its obligations due to any cause or event beyond its reasonable control, including, without limitation, any natural disaster, war, terrorism, pandemic, labor strike, or governmental act.
5.8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Australia, Australia. Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably or through mediation shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in South Australia, Australia.
6. Publicity and Representation
6.1. Nominees grant the organization the right to use their name, image, and submitted materials for promotional purposes related to the award.
6.2. Nominees must not engage in any activity that could damage the reputation of the award or the organization.
7. Withdrawal of Nomination
7.1. Nominees may withdraw their nomination by submitting a written request prior to the announcement of the finalists.
7.1. The organization reserves the right to withdraw nominations or awards if a nominee is found to have violated any of our policies.
7.2. Nomination fees paid, if any, are not transferrable or refundable.
8. Amendments and Updates
8.1. The organization reserves the right to update or amend these policies at any time.
8.2. Nominees will be notified of significant changes to these policies through our newsletter. If the nominees decide not to subscribe to our newsletter, it remains their responsibility to keep track of changes by visiting this page.
9. Acknowledgement
By accepting or lodging their nomination, nominees confirm they have read, understood, and agreed to these policies.
